The 2017 United Way Day of Action, held on June 17, was a huge success! Thank you to everyone who donated dental supplies to the Women's Way Oral Health Drive. United Way distributed over 1,200 oral health care bags via their partner agencies including, Friends of Children, NELCWIT, Community Action! Center for Self Reliance, Franklin County Community Meals Program, Center for New Americans, and Montague Catholic Social Ministries. We were also pleased to have the Community Health Center of Franklin County (CHCFC) on hand to provide some basic free services to the community and help people sign up for health and dental insurance. During the day, CHCFC saw 21 patients, ranging in age from 4 years to 74 years old. Most came from Greenfield, but others included Deerfield, Bernardston and even as far away as Cape Cod! Some had been seen within a year at a dentist while others not seen a dentist for 5 or more years. Thank you to everyone who donated volunteered and helped to make UWFC's Day of Action a success!
