What is it?
Blooming Backpacks is United Way's annual backpack and school supply drive coordinated and powered by Women's Way. This supply drive collects everything an elementary, middle or high school student might need to start the school year. We hold this drive in July of each year.
How does it work?
Fill a backpack with school supplies, you can find a list of ideas here, and drop it off at the United Way office or join us Tuesday, July 24 for the final collection, distribution, and celebration in Historic Deerfield. You can RSVP here to receive the address! Can't make it? Don't feel like shopping? No problem! Let Women's Way take care of it for you by making a contribution here.
All contributions are tax-deductible and any amount helps.
Who receives the bags?
Donations benefit United Way of Franklin County partner agencies including Community Action Family Center, United Arc, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Franklin County, Mary Lyon Foundation, ServiceNet, and Montague Catholic Social Ministries.
