The United Way of Franklin County, Inc. is dedicated to improving the quality of life in Franklin County by mobilizing people and resources to strengthen our communities and advance the common good. LIVE UNITED: GIVE, ADVOCATE, VOLUNTEER
The United Way tackles the source, not just the symptoms, of our community’s core challenges. That's how we go beyond short-term charity for a few to long-lasting solutions that lift up the whole community.
We are part of a network of nearly 1,800 community-based United Ways in 41 countries.
As the largest privately-funded nonprofit in the world, with more than 2.8 million volunteers and 9.3 million donors, United Way plays a unique role in communities all around the world.
Locally, the United Way of Franklin County (UWFC) has brought caring people together to address the needs of the whole community for 80 years. We bring together people and organizations from all across the community and focus on the building blocks for a good quality of life: Education, Financial Stability, and Health.
Together, we build a stronger community for all. United Way of Franklin County is advancing the common good in our community by providing help today in ways that strengthen tomorrow. Our work ensures that children are ready to learn when they enter school, stay engaged in learning and graduate able to compete, and are nurtured by families that have the financial stability to support their basic needs and future successes.
No other single organization brings together the passion, know-how, and resources of thousands of individuals, organizations, businesses, and government around a unified vision for our community's children, youth, and families.
By aligning a region-wide philanthropic network around the same vision, United Way does more than any single organization. This means your donation has more impact.
